Much to enjoy here

Other places in which to enjoy the pleasures of our kitchens and cellars include the cozy and refined ARVENSTUBE restaurant. For a bite in-between, take a comfortable seat in our great LOUNGE or in the venerable and attractive BAR. (Every afternoon and evening, live music for tea in the lounge and for dancing and enjoying in the bar.) Or eat in the privacy of your own room: room service without any surcharge.

For non-non-smokers the bar continues to be the place for lighting up a cigar, a pipe or a cigarette until summer 2012. (Our other rooms are smoke-free.) We are working on plans for a comfortable and pleasant smokers’ lounge.

Arguably our nicest ‘restaurant’ is our romantic OUTDOOR TERRACE, where we serve lunch and afternoon tea every day, weather permitting, from June to mid-September. (With live music.)

COME ON IN even if you’re not staying at the Waldhaus! When the weather does not cooperate or summer is but a memory, we serve lunch in the airy ‘winter garden’ of our main dining room. At night, the Arvenstube is our à la carte restaurant for both residents and visitors. Outside visitors are equally welcome in our dining rooms.

COME AS YOU ARE. We appreciate it if you contribute to a lovely and festive evening atmosphere. But you don’t have to dress up for our sake, it should feel right for you. So suit yourself!

Do not hesitate to challenge us with SPECIAL REQUESTS AND EVENTS! Be it a whole banquet or just a little get-together, a party with friends, a birthday celebration or a festive wedding – we will be happy to contribute suitable rooms and culinary delights, but also organizational help and further ideas and suggestions.
