The Engadine Culture Days is a unique combination of nature, culture and art. This year will again provide participants an opportunity to follow in the biographical and literary-artistic footsteps of three people who have or had a connection to the Engadine: the poet and novelist Gerhard Meier, a major Swiss author, the Austrian writer, translator, filmmaker and dramatist Peter Handke and the painter Giovanni Giacometti, who came from the neighboring Bregaglia valley and along with Hodler and Amiet founded the Swiss colorist movement. Lectures, readings, excursions, a film followed by a discussion and an evening of music will help participants become better acquainted with the three artists and their works.
